1. Motor upgrade
After we bought the bus, i made some small modifications to get better performance and less maintenance.
I replaced the original mechanic ignition, placed a stronger bobine, and placed silicone ignition cables.
In addition to monitoring the engine's oil temperature, oil pressure and RPM, I added sensors and added extra wiring to the front side of the bus.
In the future, I want to replace the engine with a stronger version, but for now, it's OK.
edit on 2024: The same engine is still in place and takes a huge higher load with an additional Westfalia Essen trailer and two kids. With full load, the average consumption is 8.5 km/L with an average speed of 80-100
